Healing Arts Board Proposes Changes To PA Supervision Agreements
The Missouri State Board of Registration for Healing Arts has proposed changes to physician assistant licensure, including criteria for a certificate of controlled substance prescriptive authority and the length of time a supervision waiver is in effect. The certificate of controlled substance prescriptive authority implements recent changes to the physician assistant law that expands the prescriptive authority of PAs. In addition, waivers to the statutory physician supervision requirements will cost $50 and be effective for a period of five years. Comments on the proposal, published in the Dec. 1 Missouri Register, may be directed to Tina Steinman, executive director, by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31.
