The Missouri General Assembly has adjourned its special session until next week. 

The actual veto session concluded  Wednesday with no overrides to the Governor's vetos. There was a strong move to override the omnibus transportation bill which included legislation on billboard regulation.

Economic development continued to dominate the Senate discussion with SB 8 aerotropolis / China Hub bill tax breaks in St. Louis, data centers and cuts to state tax credit programs. In addition SB 7 was passed for the Missouri Science Innovation Research Act for high technology fields.

Schools were impacted with the passage of Senate Bill 1 dealing with teacher/student interaction on "social media". As passed by the Senate schools are given local control and the ability to set their own policy.

The House focused on funding for disasters in Missouri this year and how the "Rainy Day Fund" could be utilized.

Each chamber will schedule hearings Tuesday in their respective body and debate the opposite chamber on Wednesday.

Hearings on a "911" statewide system, Appropriations for Health, Mental Health and Social Services and education status in Kansas City were heard.
